Executive summary by darmansjah
La Posta Vecchia, a stunning 17th century seaside palace,
immersed in beautiful Italian gardens and overlooking the Mediterranean sea,
offers guests a genuinely luxurious and peaceful retreat, a mere 40 minute
drive away from the center of Rome. The villa was built around about 1640 for
members of the powerful Orsini dynasty, over remains of the ancient Roman
settlement of Alsium. In later centuries the villa served as more humble
Carriage House for mail stages travelling up the coast north of Rome, hence the
name: La Posta Vecchia.
